What should i do if i like this guy that use to date my friend and she still has feelings for him???????

ok so i like this guy but he use to date my friend and it seems like he likes me like flirts with me everyday and he told me it seems like me and him were datin. but i never said anything back to him bec i want to but idk if i should bec my friend still likes him alot i guess. she told me that she still likes him but i never told her i liked him. And they broke up bec he didnt feel any chem with her. he told me that he felt chem with me. plz help thax
