Do you think Obama deserved the noble peace prize?

i voted for barack obama and i like him as a leader and speaker but didnt he win the noble peace prize to soon? to me its an insult to mlk, gandhi and other people who devoted and later gave their life to the pursuit of peace, obama is a great speaker, and he is good at making promises and as a native american i know my ancestors heard promises from many many leaders but as u know all us citizins know presidents dont always keep their promises so why a noble peace prize before accomplishing anything other than being in office? if thats the case woudnt that mean he got it only because he is black?, because many presidents have been elected but not given a peace prize a couple months in office, im just saying to me its kind of disrespectful and in a way racist
