Why don't the Panthers do this in the draft?

Since Andy Dalton of TCU had such a good workout day, why doesn't Carolina pick either Marcell Dareus or Patrick Peterson #1 overall then pick Andy Dalton or possibly even Ryan Mallet with the first pick in the 2nd round. If they're lucky, Cam Newton could be available still. Lots of people are saying he doesn't deserve to go in the first round.
