How can I liven up my dorm bedding?

My roommate got a really busy, floral/paisley quilt, which I'm not too crazy about. I really want the room to match and am so excited for the challenge of decorating. I'm not into the typical *buy a ton of bright colored objects and have a messy dorm*. I want it to look sophisticated. I'm even going to put up some temporary wallpaper. Anyway, I got a green duvet cover, in the same green as one of the colors in her quilt. I'm trying to figure out a way to liven it up since her bed will be so bright. I'm making a few pillows and going to get a throw, but does anyone have other suggestions?
