Ouch! Almost Shakespearean in that it's the unattainable love. Perhaps you should stop and think about how you got to the point of infatuation. Then rationalize, and hopefully you will be able to coach yourself through this without losing a friend. One way or another, you gotta look out for you and what's good for you.
