I have a crockpot and have been making things like chicken wild rice soup, beef stew, etc etc etc. I've always cooked the meat first before adding it to the crockpot. Am I suppose to? It seems like it takes the convienence away from having a crockpot. But still...... I was unsure. The site I get recipies from she uses all frozen meat. So she just says "x amount frozen chicken" and I have no idea if her meat is already cooked or not because she makes no mention of whether I should cook it or not. I always buy fresh meat.
